Orbs and Spirit Communication

Spirit Communication is all about energy. Spirit has always found a venue for communicating with friends and loved ones still on the earth plane; using energy to make that contact. And one does not have to be a trained medium to receive those messages; awareness is the only requirement.

While in Egypt a number of us on the ARE tour took many photos. In some of those pictures there were orbs; white, round shapes in all sizes and numbers that I know to be a form of Spirit Communication. Diane from Australia shares this image (right) taken at Luxor Temple in the evening.

Another photograph was taken by Rebecca in the Great Pyramid. Once again an array of orbs dominated the image; all round, white and without any recognizable pattern. If you look carefully at the picture below you even can discern layers of orbs. What do the orbs mean?

I had never captured orbs on film like this before. My experience was with specific shapes and colors. The exciting part of this trip to Egypt for me was in receiving photographs from others that included identical orbs to those appearing in my pictures. Traveling throughout Scotland and England I found that Spirit used orbs to communicate with me at sites pertinent to my research. Friends often joined me on those trips but not one of them ever had pictures that contained orbs of any kind even though they would be photographing the exact same scenes at the precise moment I was filming them.

I wondered why the orbs in Egypt were different. I used some of the same cameras there but no matter where I took the photos the only shapes I found in the my images were the round, white cluster of orbs; pictured in the ceiling of the Church of Virgin Mary at Zeitoun (Cairo). In that Coptic Chapel I had a vision; a ceremony of the initiate. This photo to the right was taken with my HP digital camera while the image below was from a 35mm camera where CVS developed the roll of film.Notice the face of the Virgin Mary; that white imagery is believed to be a form of Spirit energy called ectoplasm. I took several photographs of the same scene and there is no other normal, photographic explanation for the overshadowing in white that appears over her face.  

Overshadowing is another common form of Spirit Communication. The phenomena can appear at anytime but it is not uncommon for overshadowing to happen during a sitting with a medium. When a communicator comes through during a reading the Spirit sometimes makes his/her presence known by superimposing an image over the face of the medium.  In the picture below there appears to be some overshadowing taking place as I stood at Tantallon Castle in North Berwick, Scotland. I have a significant, personal connection to that location; a Douglas stronghold from the late 13th century that remained in my family for over four hundred years. If you look closely at my right hand the overshadowing is subtle but clearly visible and strikingly, both images, the one appearing in Egypt in the Coptic Chapel and the earlier one that took form at Tantallon Castle in Scotland are very similar.

 

Past Lives...My Guide in Spirit Speaks of Many Incarnations in Egypt

In a reading with International Medium Robert Brown in 2000 I was told about my guide in Spirit. Robert described him as a man of great height; an Egyptian with the same characteristics that I had seen in my meditations, visualizing him as the Tarot image of the man in THE CHARIOT. Robert told me that this guide was a healer and his work was with the lungs, specifically referencing my lifelong disease of asthma. The appearance of this guide was exactly as I saw him during meditation. I was thrilled for the validation. Being new to Spirit Communication I doubted what I had been shown so Robert's information provided the perfect remedy for my lack of trust.

In early 2001 I had another reading; this time with Spirit Artist Rita Berkowitz. She began by giving me evidence of my prior lives in Egypt shared with my guide in Spirit. By this time I had a name of William that this guide used to identify himself to me but the incarnation he revealed to Rita was from an ancient time in Khem,without a specific name associated with that life. She drew his image below right and I was especially pleased as the portrait face resembled the way he was showing himself to me; the eyes and expression were mirror images of what I visualized in mediation. I realized that I was being given evidence to trust my own messages.

Later that year I had sitting with another Boston medium John Holland. He described the same image that Rita drew and provided the identical information about my guide's healing abilities. Now I had three well respected mediums telling me that this same Spirit had lived at least one lifetime as an Egyptian and was a healer for the lungs. I came to understand that Spirit could present their image at any age.  And they could portray their appearance relative  to any of their incarnations. William had come to me by then as a medieval Crusader Knight in his early forties but the Egyptian lifetime was how he presented himself in communications to these mediums.

When I was in meditation one evening not long ago, William told me about one of his first incarnations in Egypt. He said his name out loud as Hapy. My guide then validated to me that for that incarnation he was the guardian of the lungs; standing in the tombs of kings. He also said that later in time his soul split into male and female and that we were twin souls. I do not understand the concept of twin souls but in my research I found a son of Horus named Hapy who fit that description: he was known as the guardian of the lungs. There is another Hapi mentioned in Egyptian history; spelling is not important as I heard the name but he was shown as a man with a belly and breasts of a woman. But this Hapi is not associated with the lungs and healing. More information and research will be required to sort through the messages from Spirit but it is an interesting start. This image to below left represents the four sons of Horus of which one is Hapy.

When I visited the site of the Sphinx in Cairo my guide in Spirit informed me that he had been involved with the building designs near that location. The Sphinx is believed by some to be 10,000 years old and built by Isis. William told me that the lost Hall of Records was housed in a room protected by a five layer labyrinth directly in front of the right paw of the Sphinx. The Cayce readings speak of three levels and others mention just two but William was adamant that there were five and he was one of four priests who devised the maze that prevented discovery of the secret room. Further scientific study confirms some of these claims. William also revealed that he was sealed in the anteroom of the Hall of Records to die with his knowledge of the construction of the labyrinth.

William explained it this way: "I was one of four to so design the labyrinth of five layers. On the final day of its construction we four dined on a fabulous feast and drank of intoxicating beverage. The chamber was lighted by lamps that had no flame and we fell asleep to wake no more in that lifetime. The secrets will be discovered when civilization is ready to receive the knowledge; likely not for 200 years or more." Note: Spirit's understanding of time is not exact to our interpretation

Dr. Zahi Hawass generously allowed our ARE tour group to go down into the excavated area around the Sphinx. It was quite an honor to be granted such access and a delight to photograph as well. The experience of being able to actually touch the right paw; to envision the presence of a great door that is possibly hidden by the enormous wall-tablet seen bottom center on the image...and to be able to run a line of vision from the paw to where the Hall of Records might reside...that experience was both exciting and overwhelming.

A Journey with Spirit...to Egypt

My first experience with Spirit orbs came in 2001. I was photographing Union Square in New York just four weeks after the tragedy of 9-11. Using an old 35mm camera I took pictures near the impromptu memorial erected to those lost that day. I had the film developed weeks later. Finding the orbs on so many of the images was a surprise to me. And I was not really sure what I had captured on film in Greenwich Village that early dawn. The concept of Spirit communication was new to me then; having no idea that orbs even existed I consulted International Medium Robert Brown. As a Spiritualist he explained to me that photographic orbs were one of the ways Spirit reached out to communicate with us; letting us know they survived the change called death.

Here  in the image at the right you can see the tiny orbs and the rose colored hues that permeated the image of Union Square. I use this photograph as a sample in all my talks on how to identify Spirit orbs...these ordinary circular shapes that appear at random on pictures are actually energy captured on film.

Most of my  images containing these unique 'messages' from Spirit held distinctive shapes; head and shoulders silhouettes or diamond configurations and sometimes even full-figured human images. It was only during my trip to Egypt in late October 2008 that I began to receive photos with 'normal' round orbs; appearing at many different sites but all conforming to the same circular formation.

Some Spirit orbs appeared in the passageways leading up inside the Great Pyramid in Giza. Visable in the photo below at the left, in the center of the image these orbs appear in all sizes, just like the individual people they represent! Later when I photographed the interior of the Queen's Chamber I noticed a much larger number of orbs that seemed to cluster at the top of the far end of the enclosure. The photograph to the right is from that room in the Great Pyramid; taken with the same HP digital camera without flash.

People wonder why I used so many cameras when I travel doing research with Spirit. The reason was simple: I decreased the chances of confusing messages from Spirit with lens flares by  taking several photographs; repeating the circumstances of the shot so that when orbs appeared they could not be discounted.

One more important consideration: I also know the configuration of my camera lens; these orbs do not conform to that shape.

I welcome any inquiries on Spirit orbs. Over the years I have been privileged to receive many such examples of Spirit energy captured on film. And I have come to believe that as we acknowledge such forms of communication, more examples of these wonderful gifts...bestowed from our friends and loved ones in the 'Otherworld' as the ancient Celts referenced Heaven...are sent our way; proving the existence of Spirit and their everyday involvement with our lives.

Virginia Beach...a place for Spirit

A couple of years ago I decided to visit the A R E in Virginia Beach to attend a weekend of seminars on reincarnation with John Van Auken and other experts on the subject. My friends and I stayed at the old Ramada Inn there and the view from our rooms was so fantastic that I decided to take some photos.

Spirit took that opportunity to send me a message. The first image I took was normal; an ordinary picture of the beach. But the second one was more than memorable; revealing this lovely spaceship image in a gorgeous shade of fuchsia, the color of love. Strangely, as I took the photo, that split second when the image was formed my eyebrows were burned off and the skin on my face was blistered.  My friends accompanying me on the trip were stunned by the experience. Later that night I saw visions of the spacecraft landing on the beach; a replica of sorts of that great vehicle from outer space used in the 1950's vintage movie, THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL. Was it by coincidence that John Van Auken showed us pictures from Egypt of similar spaceships carved into temple walls thousands of years ago?

 My experiences with the A R E were to continue when I returned in May, 2008. I was staying with the Robert Brown Retreat and as part of the week we were invited for a tour of the A R E center. I wandered in the library on the second floor before joining the others. As I stood in front of this lovely portrait of a woman I heard this voice speak. "I wrote books like you." I looked down to see the name on the painting: Gladys Turner. So I went to the library desk to inquire on her books. "Oh Ms. Turner never wrote any books," they said.

The response confused me so I decided to rejoin the tour in the Turner Room. And again a surprising photo appeared in my camera, followed by a 'normal shot' of the daybed used during Edgar Cayce's trance sessions. I asked the tour guide about Ms. Turner's writings and she too replied that Gladys never wrote any books. I looked about the room, admittedly a bit puzzled by the communication from Spirit. It was then that I saw the volumes of books on shelves above the daybed. I inquired of our A R E tour guide again. "Those are the shorthand writings of Ms. Turner as she recorded Mr. Cayce in trance." What an affirmation of my own work; writing the stories of my guide's life with information disseminated from Spirit just like Gladys recorded the trance work of Edgar Cayce. And as further evidence, my guide in Spirit, William Douglas professed to be my twin soul just as Edgar Cayce was to Gladys; sharing many lifetimes of work together.

Here are the photos taken in the Turner Room. I shared them with the others that day including our  guide from the A R E.   The second photograph is of Anne, a medium from England who was one of our instructors from Robert Brown's retreat. Anne was able to feel the energy still present in the Turner Room;showing others how to experience the sensations for themselves.

Later that week John Edward joined Robert Brown's retreat. He participated in an evening with Spirit; sharing the stage with Robert, they both delivered messages to members of the audience on a random basis.  I was privileged to receive a public reading from Mr. Edward. He confirmed the past lives information contained in my books while validating some current information from this lifetime.  What a great week in Virginia Beach...another fabulous time filled with many exciting messages from Spirit. Is it the presence of the A R E there that draws Spirit energy to that location? I don't have an answer for that...but I do know that Spirit loves to show off their skills at communication from behind the veil...and Virginia Beach seems to be a perfect place for such activity.
