This morning I was shown a vision of my guide during an event from his lifetime as a medieval knight. He was wearing a surcote and other clothing of the 13th century and no armor. William appeared to open a small, hidden doorway that led to a crawl space. He descended into the space which looked like a round rain culvert about five feet in diameter. When he returned he was carrying the lifeless body of a little girl. Today was 6th August, the 708th anniversary of the death of a little girl at the Woodham Ferrers medeival manor in Essex England.
In 1999, medium Lydia Clar first brought through little Martha Douglas in a phone reading. I argued over the identity of the child as I had not idea at that time of a prior life in medieval England. In 2005, Medium Suzane Northrop confirmed the identity of the little girl during a public Demonstration of Spirit Communication at Omega in NY. Martha came through with "the big gray dog", my Irish Wolfhound Larry. And in 2008, Martha Douglas appeared again, communicating through John Edward at Robert Brown's retreat at Virginia Beach in another public Demonstration of Spirit Communication. "She seems to be running the show," John Edward said in 2008. Martha was accompanied by Lawrence 'Booboobear' just as Suzane saw them in Spirit. My wolfie appeared to John as a cartoon character from the Hanna-Barbera Production, The Yogi Bear Show. Perfect, he was named for Booboobear, Yogi's sidekick. What great validations from Spirit!
And why wouldn't Martha be running things on the 'Other Side'? That lovely little girl was my first validation of a past life in 13th Scotland and England. Through her relentless insistance, I was able to locate the other references to her 'appearances' in Essex as a Spirit.
I have included a link to an Essex paranormal site and an online story about Martha and her father, the medieval knight or chevaliar (using the term in Norman French), that accompanied his daughter when they walked the lands of the Essex manor once held by Eleanora and William Douglas.
In documents and stories passed down through the generations, there are references to a manor house with a moat that had a secret passage to the nearby priory. The sub manor house at Edwin's Hall has been mentioned as the location of the paranormal sightings. However, that is a Tudor estate with two surviving moats.
The main manor house is actually Woodham Hall with is very close to the Priory, on the other side of the village of Woodham Ferrers.
Bicknacre Priory was originally called Wodeham Priory until 1235. There were no other priories in the vicinity. Therefore, the acutal location of the manor house with the secret passage would have to be Woodham Hall. Not far from the hall is Bicknacre village where the priory arch still survives today. The ruins are in Priory Fields, adjacent to the original mains of the religious site operated by the Black Friars. Below is the Priory Arch as it appears today.

For several years I was unable to find the location of the main manor house for Woodham Ferrrers of the 13th century. Eleanora Douglas held those lands in her dower rights from her first husband,William de Ferrers. Original 13th century documents verified the existance of the estate.
One afternoon as I was driving through the village towards the priory I asked Spirit to help me find the location of the original estate. I was very frustrated. I drove up and down that medieval cartpath between Bicknacre and Woodham Ferrers villages for nearly an hour. Then I heard William speak out loud. "Use your mediumship Eleanora," he said. William, my guide in Spirit, sounded like Obi-wan Kenobi and I burst out laughing. That comment broke the tension, my energy level changed and 'suddenly' I took notice of what looked like parts of an old mains or medieval des mains (farm that supplied the manor). As I drove into the hidden drive, there before me was a tiny sign, "Woodham Hall". Eureka! I found the manor house. And there beside the original foundation was the medieval moat where Martha drowned in 1294. The medieval buiding was partially destroyed by fire and rebuilt on the original foundation dating to Normam times.
All this from a vision this morning...verifying the date of that drowning as 6th August 1294. That's how Spirit works with me, to Prove Reincarnation through Mediumship and Research.
