Giving a class on the Ovilus the other night at Dancing Moon...what fun...except I could not understand why certain messages kept repeating...."worm, music, singing, award, bicycle, records, tree, drag".
You would think that as the teacher I should begin to expect a message in class! But I kept denying anything would be for me...even as I started off class with a meditation I smelled cigarette smoke and felt like I was choking...I even coughed, a lot. I knew I had a smoker in class working with me, but who the heck was it?
One of my students shared these messages; a small man in a plaid shirt, a smoker, riding a bicycle, gave the name of Debby, in a hurry, wants things to work out, bounce in his walk. And finally, a clue that really meant a lot, dirty blonde hair and the name Loraine.
Spirit is always amazing to me...imagine, going all out to ensure that I would get the message.
The Spirit messenger kept repeating these words through the Ovilus..."worm, bicycle, singing, award, music".
And I kept "thinking" (the key to all mediumship is to not think, just receive the message)...what is this about. And who is worm?
I turned off the Ovilus and restarted it.
The clues came through again...worm, music, tree, singing, awards. And those clues were framed around other clues that students in the class recognized as the words from their own relatives. But the beat continued, on and on those words repeated.
Then it dawned on me, finally...the smoker was Freddie Mercury. Here he is in a photo, in a plaid shirt and he is smoking.
And the worm was a reference to an Earworm...you know, that song you can't get out of your head. My Earworm has been "Another One Bites the Dust".
For a medium, the humor is a bit eccentric but then I am working with old dead knights and their ladies. And they all maintain a silly sense of humor.
To me, Freddie Mercury was an English knight from the early 14th century. He identified himself years ago as Sir William Bagot of Staffordshire, a friend of Prince Edward in 1305. I saw him clearly one night...he had long blond mustache and dirty blond hair. I saw him primping, rolling his fingers around the long lengths of his mustache as posed, watching himself in a medieval mirror.
So when the student told me the Spirit had blond hair, I surmised that the identity of the smoker in Spirit was Freddie. The name Loraine was likely Lovaine. Another hit for me as Sir William Bagot married Eleanora of Lovaine in 1305. I laughed all the way home. There were other clues in the messages of course, but those were all about Freddie: music, award, bicycle, singing, and drag.
Tree was another message and I believe it referenced the tree-like obelisk that includes a memorial inscription from Mary Austin. Here is a photo that has been floating about online. The message during class involved documents, found items and of course, the word tree. As recently as last February this pillar was discovered at Kensal Green Cemetary with an inscription.
I recited those words from the Ovilus to my husband that night, those clues that were repeated over and over, And he said..."Oh, that's Queen. So Freddie was there tonight." He knew right away...I starting laughing at myself. Duh, I am still the deer in the headlights when it comes to messages.
And as I sit here, the Ear Worm plays on, "and another one's gone...". By the way, I have come to believe that Earworms may indeed be messages from Spirit.
