A little over a year ago I was in Salt Lake City doing an Expo for my work with Spirit. I set up my booth Friday and later met a client for dinner. Linda was all excited to tell me that she had information for me regarding my work with Spirit. It was not that she thought she giving me a message but that she 'knew' something was important to do, a special task that she would help facilitate.
My work with Spirit began in 1999 when my Wolfhound Larry passed. I knew I had to contact the 'other side' to determine that he was OK so I set up a session with Medium Lydia Clar. Larry did not come through during that session but I acquired her meditation series and began to meditate twice daily with full dedication. In six weeks I was seeing incredible visions, all black and white but very clear. It was not until a sitting with Robert Brown the following fall that Larry did make his presence known. He came 'in' during that sitting with a barking noise that was recorded on tape. Robert wrote about that experience with Direct Voice in his book, We Are Eternal.
Over the next fifteen years I judiciously recorded the messages from Spirit, self financed a $400K research project that took me to Scotland and England over 34 times in 40 months. My journeys continued to France, Belgium, Spain, Italy and Japan. In that time period I wrote six books with Spirit, many of which can be found on my research website: www.mytruthliesintheruins.com as well as the Skybear website. With the publication of my sixth book I assumed I completed my last project. I began teaching classes, giving lectures and doing expos to spread the word of the work I accomplished with Spirit. I took information from my own meditations as well as messages from well known Mediums that validated my work: Robert Brown, Suzane Northrop and John Edward to name a few. The sessions were either recorded or in front of 200 others, in a public demonstration with at least fifty contemporary mediums in Virginia Beach. I took the information from Spirit and then through Academic Research verified those facts presented by Spirit. I found original documents from the 13th century and forward that validated a past life in medieval Scotland. It was an amazing journey. The books were derived from that information tied to historical records, where only the conversations were 'imagined'; but then again, were they?
In Salt Lake Linda told me she was going to take a class in script writing. She then sent me the notes from that class and a book to help me get started on writing a screen play. I was really hesitant. Then I remembered I had been getting messages all along regarding a movie involving my books. I attended a Trance Course weekend in Virginia with the International Spiritualists. I was a member of that long enduring organization whose claim to fame in my world was their President, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. During a significant meditation exercise I saw a vision and the teacher linked in to validate it: walking down an aisle of a large hall with many guests in attendance and I was heading forward to be on stage accepting some award: it has to do with your books, I was told. It was striking to me; I had given up hope of using my books for a motion picture.
Early on I had given copies of my books to friends, one whose husband was with ICON International; another person was Randall Wallace of Braveheart fame, who was signing books on the Queen Mary across the way from my book table where I was doing the same. It all seemed so long ago. In fact, those books had to be completely rewritten because the language was actually more of a download from Spirit and confusing to some of my readers. Some said the books were as challenging as reading the Canterbury Tales. In 2013 I completed the revisions of book two of my Douglas Trilogy, In the Shadow of My Truth. It is the story of the Black Douglas, Scotland's most beloved knight. The research is impeccable; the location sites are verified historically and depicted in the hundreds of pictures throughout the three book series. Many might try writing this story it but there is only one person who knows the essence of James Douglas to make his story come alive on film. I was there and through visions and messages during onsite research; I remember.
So here I am today realizing that Spirit has finally gotten their message across thanks to the Trance work at the ISF weekend workshops and Linda in Utah who insisted (that is stating it mildly!) that I need to look at writing a script for the books. Well...back to work!
